How to Prep for Your Admissions Interview

STEP 1:Watch the short video below for what to do next...

STEP 2: Apply for an Admissions Interview Below

I saw we'll be meeting soon.

First, congrats on being an action taker. You're in the top 5% of people just for that reason.

Before your call, make sure you do these things and then reply to my text message within 12 hours, so we don't cancel your interview...
1) Read this entire page to be sure you are prepared for your Admissions Interview. The link to your Zoom interview is in the calendar invite we sent, but it’s also right here for your convenience:
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8944679880
2) Prep your questions.

I’m sure you’ve already done plenty of research prior to booking, but set aside at least 15 minutes to read over the answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions again and jot down any other questions you have (even though everyone tells us the FAQs cover just about every question they had).

We're happy to answer questions you have that are not covered in the FAQs section. In fact, shoot me an email or text if you have a major question you'd like answered. I'll try to help ASAP 😄.

Also, check out our other website pages and our hundreds of member reviews. You can even connect with some of those members on LinkedIn if that's helpful.

Our job is to give your clarity, so you can make the best decision possible -- even if that's not to work with us.

That said, like many interviewers, we're less likely to offer you enrollment if you don't have questions (or at least demonstrate you've done great research 😉).

3) Have Zoom installed.

We host our calls on a simple video conferencing tool called Zoom, so install the Zoom software on your computer or the app on your phone prior to the interview. Become familiar with how to use it before the call (it's pretty easy).

The Zoom link for our meeting is linked above as well as in our calendar invite -- so you can open whatever calendar app you use and find it there in the interview event.

4) Plan to be in a quiet, focused space for the call.

If you're driving, making dinner or doing anything else during our call, I may have to cancel the interview and close your application.

Be as present as you'd be for any other interview. A distraction-free and professional environment is great for this. We want to make the best use of our time together and be sure this will be a great partnership.

5) Keep in mind what we're looking for...

Attitude
- We like people with a positive outlook who are coachable.

Whether you have 40+ years of sales experience or you're a complete newbie to sales or the tech space, you’re in good company.

Hardly any of our members have previous tech experience.

And more than half of members have no previous sales experience. These include fresh college grads, Uber drivers and mid-career switchers.

Wherever you are on the spectrum, we want to see you're open to our guidance.

Members hungry for mentoring is how they succeed so much. (And it's the reason we let you wait until you start making money before paying us anything.)

Our members work at companies like Amazon, Google, Houzz, OutboundEngine, Salesforce, Hubspot, Zoom and many, many more.

Aptitude - Most people have the ability to learn if they're coachable. Remember, you're looking to sell software, not code it from scratch.

In our program, we walk you through every step of the tools, skills, and workflows you need to be the best junior rep in a software sales team.

Ambition - If you're excited to join the tech industry, challenge yourself and make money, you've got the drive you need.

Remember, even average software sales reps make $60,000 to $80,000 in year 1 and $100,000+ in year 2 onward.

Accountability - This one is about doing what you say you're going to do, like come to the interview on time and prepared. It's also about taking full responsibility for your actions.

6) Text me back with the code phrase “Career Kickstart” to confirm you've read this page and that you'll be prepared for your interview. That way I know you’ve read this far.

If we don't hear back from you within 12 hours, I will have to cancel your Admissions Interview. We have many applicants and limited interview spots per day, and want to be courteous to everyone else that wants a chance to interview.

I'm looking forward to talking with you!
